Tell Your Own Story

August 7, 2014

Like we do everyday, Joi and I take time to recap our day over dinner. She was giving me the rundown of a conversation she had with a classmate where he was telling her that he wanted to be exactly like a famous well-known comedian when he grew up. She then told me that she got upset with him and told him “Be careful what you ask for because you don’t know what he went through to get that!”. I wholeheartedly agreed with her because oftentimes we see the glory, but don’t know the story. And even beyond that, we know A story but not THE story (catch that). Woke up today, so I know it’ll be another #WowGodDay. Let’s not live our lives to retell someone else’s story, but create our own and have a TELL-YOUR-OWN-STORY THURSDAY!!!
