Faithful Friend

June 20, 2014

faithful friend

We were recapping our day, like we normally do when I get home from work, and Joi made a profound observation. Through her experience that day she said that the ones you expect to support and encourage you don’t, but the ones you don’t are the ones that do. That’s nothing new for us adults, because the fact is that we know that people can be fickle and fair-weather. Instead of us dwelling on the negativity of the situation, we chose that time to look in the mirror and ask ourselves “Are we fair-weather or faithful friends?” Are we there for people that need us or only when it benefits us? Do we encourage and support, or do we tear down and disrespect? Is our friendship out of compassion or convenience? Today will be a #WowGodDay because we made it through the week. Let us all ponder these questions concerning those we call “friend” and have a FAITHFUL-FRIEND FRIDAY!!!
