Trim the Fat

It’s pretty evident by now that I’m not a huge meat eater, but every now and then while cooking for someone else they’ll request red meat. Depending on the cut of the meat and how they want it prepared, I’d have to trim the fat off of it (because it doesn’t just fall off by itself..LOL). Now don’t get me wrong, the fat gives the meat a little bit more flavor and makes it juicy, but it can also be considered unhealthy. In most cases, it doesn’t matter if it’s trimmed before or after cooking, as long as it’s trimmed. Emotionally, spiritually, physically, financially and mentally there are those attached to us that refuse to remove themselves. This is just a reminder that while we’re being prepared for the next phase of our purpose, eventually we’ll have to be the ones to trim the fat if we want to be whole and healthy to feast on what God has for us. I’m off to a rocky start, but I’m declaring a #WowGodDay. Let’s recognize that some attachments are unhealthy and have a TRIM-THE-FAT TUESDAY!!!
