Take a Timeout

April 29, 2014

For those of us that have been longtime fans of collegiate basketball, we all remember the “timeout seen around the world”. In the 1993 NCAA Men’s Division I Championship, my beloved UNC Tarheels were up by two points and Michigan’s Chris Webber signaled for a timeout while he was being double-teamed. Unfortunately, Michigan was out of timeouts which resulted in a technical foul, and ultimately the loss of the game. Unlike that scenario we’re not out of timeouts, and for many of us it may seem like we’re being double-teamed…call a timeout!!! Whether it’s our jobs, our relationships, school, ministry, home or whatever; we need to take some time to regroup and refocus so that we can be our best selves and have the victory. It may be raining, but the Son is shining and that guarantees a #WowGodDay. Let’s remember that we are in the game of our lives and it’s time to win, so let’s have a TAKE-A-TIMEOUT TUESDAY!!!
