Weed Pulling

Growing up, my grandmother used to have a small garden in the backyard. Every now and then I was given the awesome task of assisting her with pulling weeds (yes, that was sarcasm). As a child I just did what I was told, but eventually I asked why we had to perform such a tedious task. My grandmother then told me that though some of the weeds were pretty to look at, they were useless and detrimental to the garden because they would stunt the growth of the other things that were growing. This is just a reminder that though he or she may look good, a relationship with them is detrimental to our growth and it’s time to pull them up. This is just a reminder that the monetary compensation for that job offer is attractive, but taking the job is detrimental to our growth by keeping us away from church and family. This is just a reminder that though that position in ministry sounds good, it will keep us from doing what God really wants us to do and is detrimental to our growth. Today will be another #WowGodDay as we made it to the middle of the week. Let’s look to see if there is anything stunting our growth and have a WEED-PULLING WEDNESDAY!!!
