Stirred Up 10/26

October 29, 2013

stirred-up

Simply put, to sleep means to cease being awake. However, there are those of us whose bodies are wide awake, but our minds aren’t. There are even those of us whose bodies are wide awake, but our hearts and spirits aren’t. We are fully functional sleepwalkers getting through our days with no true progress. We are sleeping on our jobs, sleeping on our families, sleeping on our friends, sleeping on our churches and ministries, sleeping on our goals, sleeping our passions and interestingly enough our dreams. It is vital that we get some rest so that our bodies are able to operate…but we must be stirred up and stimulated in order to do what we have been created to do in every aspect of our lives. Just remember that sleep is for bedtime, not for grind time. Today will be indeed another #WowGodDay because I am headed to the Turner Chapel AME College Fair in a few hours and then headed to preach at “Fresh Fire” with my sisters in ministry. Join me and have a STIRRED-UP-SATURDAY!!!
