The Power of No

October 3, 2013

When I was a teacher, I used to always tell my students that if we say yes to everyone else then we are ultimately saying no to ourselves. Usually this comment was made as it related to time management, but this goes far beyond that. The daily decisions we make in life flow over into everything about us that is mental, physical, emotional, financial, spiritual, educational, etc. It’s okay for us to say no and not feel guilty about it when our total well-being is of utter importance. We aren’t necessarily being selfish; this is more about self-preservation. Remember today that there is power in saying no…and that power propels us to be all we have been created and called to be. Today is a good day simply because we have another chance to get it right, so it will surely be another #WowGod day. Join me and have a THE-POWER-OF-NO THURSDAY!!!!
