Finish the Race

September 20, 2013

It is easy to become discouraged when things don’t go the way we intend them to. Of course we have everything planned out from our college degrees, to our spouses, to our careers and everything in between. Then life happens and somewhere down the line we are thrown off course. An unexpected pregnancy, a job loss, an illness, financial devastation and other seemingly misfortunes attempt to stop us dead in our tracks. I just want to remind you today that it matters not how you start, but it matters that you finish the race. So what, it may take you 6 years instead of 4 years to complete your undergraduate studies…finish the race! Maybe you were in line for a promotion, but had to focus on your ill parents instead…finish the race! An unexpected tragedy struck your family and every dream, aspiration and goal seems to be just a wish…finish the race! Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? The fastest didn’t win, but the one that stuck it out and finished the race!!! It’s the end of yet another awesome week and I know today will be another #WowGod day. Join me and make it a FINISH-THE-RACE FRIDAY!!! #Ecclesiastes9:11 #2Timothy4:7
