Maturation in the Midst of Mess

August 19, 2013

At some point in time, when we know better we must do better. We can no longer use our hardships and imperfections as justification to mistreat, misuse and manipulate people. No, God is not finished with us for we are not a perfected work, but we still have to be held accountable for our actions. I got a spiritual tongue lashing from my mentor last night because I attempted to have a pity party (she read me from cover to cover) and was distraught over having lost a “friend” (no longer a friend at the moment…apparently fair-weather) and my actions that prompted the dissipation. This is an honesty post and I’m reminded that the adversary only does what we allow it to do. We want to respond to God, yet our flesh takes over. With a heart full of repentance I pray that my actions don’t cause hurt or harm to anyone I truly care about. I’m counting on it definitely being another #WowGod day, so join me and have a MATURATION-IN-THE-MIDST-OF-MESS MONDAY!!!
